We are releasing our delicious 2010 Obsidian!
Please join us Wednesday October 26th, 2011 from 6:00-8:00pm!
Come enjoy a hearty complimentary taste of the delicious Obsidian, spectacular views, tasty bites, great music, sweets treats and fun people! Wine by the glass as well as a limited tapas menu will be available for an additional charge.

2010 Obsidian (50% Petite Sirah and 50% Zinfandel): $20
This amazing wine is rich with sarsaparilla, red licorice, graphite minerality, dark chocolate, cherry vanilla, hickory smoke, cola, and has a soft, velvety blueberry finish.
This wine originates from the Red Hills of Lake County, California. It is grown at Black Rock Ranch by Nils Venge. The ranch is named after the large deposits of shiny obsidian rock exposed throughout the volcanic soils.
The Zinfandel and Petite Sirah grapes for the Obsidian came to us on September 29th, 2010. The grapes were crushed over 15% destemmed whole berries and fermented in macrobins. Each bin was inoculated with a different yeast strain and once they were finally close to dry, we pressed them off into barrel where they finished fermentation.
About two weeks before bottling we blended together the Petite Sirah and the Zinfandel and gave it a splash of Rockpile Zinfandel to exaggerate the fruit that was already there. Voila!! Obsidian!!!
This wine has sold out quickly in the past and like all of our wines is a limited edition. So come celebrate with us and snag a bottle before it all gone!
